Environmental Efforts/CSR

We will continue to work toward symbiosis with nature and the creation of a sustainable society, with being “sincere” as our keyword.

We will do everything we can under our corporate philosophy, “symbiosis with nature.”

Environmental Efforts

Environmental policy

SINCERE has set the following policy to reduce the environmental load.

  1. We will promote proper disposal and recycling of industrial resources and beautification of the environment.
  2. We will comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and agreements with local communities, and strive to prevent environmental pollution.
  3. We will set our activity targets in response to changes in the business environment to improve our environmental performance. We will continuously improve our environmental management system to reduce the environmental load.
  4. We will promote resource and energy saving as well as reduced emissions of greenhouse gases, contributing to building a sustainable society.
  5. Every staff member working at the Shinagawa Office, the Yokohama Office, and the Head Office will strive to improve their environmental awareness.
  6. We will keep this environmental policy open to the public.

CO2 reduction measures

SINCERE has been generating power from waste (thermal recycling) using thermal energy generated from waste incineration and reducing the amount of fuel input, thus contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions. Meanwhile, following the Paris Agreement in 2015, Japan has set a goal of “reducing greenhouse gas emissions to virtually zero by 2050”. As a company that plays a role in solving environmental issues through waste treatment, SINCERE is committed to CO2 reduction measures. We will be more proactive in our efforts, including the following initiatives.

  • Increasing power generation by recovering waste heat from incineration
  • Reducing fuel and electricity consumption
  • Adoption of energy-saving equipment
  • Promoting 3Rs (proposals for recycling at our facilities or those of partner companies)
  • Streamlining by introducing eco-friendly vehicles and improving driving control
  • Promoting greening and tree planting
  • Practicing energy-saving behaviors

ISO14001 certification

SINCERE has been promoting environmental management, starting with the “R・C Center” (as it was then called) certified ISO14001 in 1999. The scope gradually expanded in 2001, 2007, and 2011. Now that the Head Office, the Shinagawa Office, and the Yokohama Office are all certified, each office has set its own activity targets, contributing to reducing the environment load.

SINCERE’s environmental data

Exhaust gas generated at the SINCERE Shinagawa R・C Center and the SINCERE Yokohama R・C Center is properly treated. The latest environmental data for both centers are available on our official website.
